How to put music on the psp is a relatively easy process. However, some people find techincal instructions like this akin to programing their VCR. A process that has them screaming at the walls. I'll do my best to simplify these instructions so that anyone who can read will know how to put music on the psp:

Step #1. You will need to install a CD ripper to convert or "rip" your music off of CDs to the appropriate MP3 format. A popular CD ripper is "ImTOO CD Ripper". While your getting the ripper you may also want to pick up and install a PSP video converter like "ImTOO PSP Video Converter" which will allow you to convert or "rip" your videos to MP4 format. You can then watch and listen to music videos and music.

Step#2. Put in one your favorite CDs. Next, open your CD Ripper and choose the songs that you want to convert. Cick the "Extract and Encode" button making sure you select the "PSP" format.

Step#3. Connect your PSP to your PC via a USB cable.

Step#4. If you have music files on your computer currently then you simply hit "add" from your CD ripper application or your PSP Video converter.

Step#5. Finally, to download or transfer your music to PSP, copy your mp3 file(s) into "H:PSPMUSIC" (where "H" is the drive letter of your PSP).
